Make a meaningful impact on our environment by joining Bal Harbour’s Beach Cleanup in partnership with VolunteerCleanup.org in celebration of International Coastal Cleanup Day. We are counting on our local community to assist in the global movement to preserve our natural environment. By participating, you will be part of a worldwide effort to reduce marine debris, protect wildlife, and preserve the beauty of our coastlines. Every piece of litter collected helps keep our oceans healthier and safer for future generations. This year’s Penguin T-Shirts are available for purchase here: www.bonfire.com/miami-icc-2024. Order before August 30 if you want to guarantee your shirt arrives before the cleanup. Registration on VolunteerCleanup.org + waivers are required to participate.
- You can complete the online waivers in advance to help expedite check-in on the day of.
- However, if you are under 18 and coming without a parent or guardian, you must have a parent/guardian print and sign the waiver HERE in advance, and bring it with you to the cleanup.
Important details:
- Community service hours are available for high school students participating in the beach cleanup.
- Please check in at the Bal Harbour information booth for credit. Volunteers will meet beachside by the jetty at the north end of Bal Harbour Village (102 Street & Collins Avenue) and will work south along the beach.
- Gloves, garbage bags, and water stations will be provided.
- Volunteers are encouraged to bring closed-toed Shoes, water in a reusable bottle, sunscreen, insect repellent, hat, and sunglasses.

Parking Info - Limited parking is available in the north municipal lot located at the entrance to the beach access (10295 Collins Avenue, Bal Harbour, FL 33154). Volunteers are encouraged to walk, bike, or catch Freebee within Bal Harbour.
