Baynanza 2025 with SeaKeepers

Baynanza 2025 with SeaKeepers

Join SeaKeepers in celebrating Baynzana 2025 at Maurice Gibb Memorial Park on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 9am-12pm!

SeaKeepers is teaming up with Miami Waterkeeper and Miami-Dade County at our Baynanza site at Maurice Gibb Memorial Park. This is a vessel site, meaning volunteers will be boarding boats to be taken from the park to nearby picnic islands to remove debris from the islands.

Baynanza is a celebration of Biscayne Bay and its significance as one of the most important ecological systems in South Florida. Celebrated throughout March and April, Baynanza culminates with the Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day where thousands of volunteers join together to help clean up our bay’s shoreline. Registered volunteers at all cleanup sites will receive a free commemorative T-shirt. Community service hours are available to all students who participate.

The International SeaKeepers Society supports marine science and conservation by utilizing privately owned yachts as platforms for oceanographic research, educational outreach, and marine conservation. Our efforts eliminate vessel costs and permit scientists to allocate those funds to maximize research potential. SeaKeepers shares its mission of ocean research and conservation with local communities through educational events, beach cleanups, and yachting industry functions.
