Debris Free Oceans Events
Debris Free Oceans is a Miami-based 501(c)3 nonprofit with the mission of empowering local communities to go zero-waste so all can have access to clean oceans and a healthy environment. Since its inception in 2014, DFO has engaged over 12K volunteers in picking up over 64K pounds of trash, educated more than 14K students about marine debris, hosted more than 500 zero waste events, and prevented the use of more than 2M single use plastics through sustainability consulting.
