Clay by the Bay – Miami Waterkeeper x Buen Provecho Collective

Join us for a fun and impactful community event hosted by Miami Waterkeeper and Buen Provecho Collective at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center! Start your Sunday by giving back to the environment with a beach clean-up, followed by a creative clay sculpting session using seashells and other treasures we discover along the shore. Delicious bagels and bites will be provided by Coconut Grove’s famed Sadelle’s from Major Food Group, and Topo Chico is providing beverages!
Event Details
- Date: Sunday, January 26th
- Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM; please arrive 15 minutes early for check-in
- Location: Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center — 6767 Crandon Blvd, Key Biscayne, FL 33149
Important Volunteer Information
- Parking is available in the public parking lot at Crandon Park for a flat rate of $10
Please bring:
- A refillable water bottle
- Closed-toed shoes are required
- A hat, sunblock, and insect repellant
- Miami Waterkeeper will provide all necessary clean-up supplies, while Buen Provecho Collective will supply the art materials and tools for crafting. Feel free to bring your own gear or supplies if you prefer!
- Community service hours can be provided for this event! If you need them, simply ask, and we’ll be happy to sign off on your hours at the end of the day.
- This event is weather dependent. In the event of rain or other extreme weather, we will notify you of a rain date and further instructions.
Ticket Information
- This is a ticketed event with a fee of $10 per ticket, which covers craft supplies, light bites and drinks, and a donation to the Biscayne Nature Center for graciously hosting us in their beautiful space.
