
Clean Miami Beach – Julia Tuttle Causeway ICC 2023
Join us for the world’s largest, one-day volunteer effort for our oceans and waterways, and show your commitment to reducing marine debris, along with millions of volunteers from across the globe!
Clean Miami Beach is hosting a shoreline cleanup on the Julia Tuttle Causeway (Eastbound) to celebrate Intl. Coastal Cleanup Day – come participate in an amazing day helping protect the ocean. A big THANK YOU to our sponsor, Sunset Boutique! This event would not be possible without our partners.
Spearheaded globally by the Ocean Conservancy, VolunteerCleanup.org organizes Miami-Dade’s local participation in this annual event with 50+ simultaneous shoreline cleanups around the county and is made possible by the generous support of our presenting sponsors Covanta and Boucher Brothers, with additional support from Blackstone Charitable Foundation, The Brady Hunter Foundation, Benjamin & Gloria Joannou, Jr. Family Conservation Fund, City of Miami Beach, The Miami Foundation, Loud And Live, and Miami-Dade County RER-DERM
We will provide a cleanup tee shirt and a souvenir tote bag with this year’s marine animal theme, a Seahorse.
*Community Service hours also provided* All ages are welcome. Registration is required to participate.
IMPORTANT:
- closed-toed shoes are mandatory for cleaning along the shore – NO sandals
- any volunteer under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guardian
- bring your own water in a reusable bottle (no plastic please), we will have a refill station
- we’ll provide sanitized garden gloves, buckets and picker
- wear reef-safe sun protection, hat, and sunglasses
*We are now be accepting household batteries at cleanups to be recycled.*
Please be on time, we will start on time.
Meeting point/Parking:
- Leave Miami Mainland (heading towards Miami Beach), cross the first bridge, on the long stretch towards the end.
- Please drive and park with absolute caution – we will be alongside a major roadway and we all need to be careful. There will be volunteers guiding you where to park, please follow instructions.
- Parking will be behind the guard rail on the grass area.
