Community Action Day @ Fruit and Spice Park (Last Sunday)

Join us on the last Sunday of every month for a day of fun & light gardening at the Fruit & Spice Park! Volunteers will help with weeding the herb & vegetable garden and the more than 150 fruit tree seedlings kept in their tropical climate greenhouse. The herb & vegetable garden features crops like tomatoes and potatoes, lovingly tended by dedicated volunteers and staff. By supporting the garden we ensure there is a space for everyone to benefit from the knowledge imparted by the study of Ethnobotany, how plants and people affect each other!

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Light gardening and mulching
- Removing vines and weeds
- Additional tasks as needed
Qualifications: All ages are welcome. Must be able to bend for extended periods of time and able to work outdoors for up to 3 hours.

Commitment Expected: Please arrive on time and check-in with staff. We recommend having sunscreen & bug spray, a hat & comfortable clothing for warm temperature, and a reusable water bottle.

If you would like to participate in this event, please register on ParkLink in advance.
