Community Action Day @ Tamiami Park (1st Wednesday)

On select 1st Wednesdays throughout the year, volunteers can assist Tamiami Park staff to keep the park clean and clear of litter and debris. Responsibilities and duties listed below are examples of what volunteers may be doing, depending on park needs. All volunteers must be registered on Park Link prior to beginning service. Responsibilities and Duties: - Removing Litter and Debris from Park - Mulching - Assisting Park Staff maintain baseball fields - Additional tasks as needed Qualifications: Volunteers must be comfortable being outdoors for an extended period of time. Commitment Expected: Please arrive at your scheduled start time and check-in with park staff. Please bring a refillable water bottle, closed-toed shoes, and protection from the sun (sunscreen, hats, sunglasses). If you have your own gloves, we recommend bringing them. Community service hours letters will be emailed, by request, following the event. If you would like to participate in this event, please register on ParkLink in advance.
