Miami Beach Cleanup with The Palms Hotel Spa ICC2026
Join us for the 41st International Coastal Cleanup — the world's largest one-day volunteer effort for our oceans and waterways! Show your commitment to reducing marine debris alongside millions of volunteers across the globe. Miami-Dade’s participation, organized by VolunteerCleanup.org and Clean Miami-Dade, features 65+ cleanups all over the county with 4,000 volunteers. This specific cleanup is being led by The Palms Hotel & Spa in the hear of Mid Beach!
T-shirts with this year’s marine animal theme, the Humpback whale, are available for purchase. Order before August 30 if you want to guarantee your shirt arrives before the cleanup.

Important details:
- Registration is required to participate in the cleanup.
- Online waivers, also required, will be emailed to you immediately after registering.
- We will provide garbage bags, gloves, some buckets and pickers as well as water and data collection cards. Community Service hours are also provided.
- Please bring a reusable container so you can hydrate throughout the event. Let’s reduce waste and refuse single-use disposable plastic water bottles!
- Download the Ocean Conservancy’s CleanSwell app to participate in the Citizen Science activity to log, tally and measure the impact of your cleanup.
- Dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear. This is a beach site and you are encouraged to wear shoes that will protect your feet from hot sand, rocks, beach vegetation, water, etc.
- Sunglasses, hats, and sunscreen are recommended as well as any other sun protection you may need.
- If you have your own reusable working or gardening type gloves, bring them. We will be providing gloves but cannot guarantee they will be in your size.
- Some volunteers like to use a bucket during a cleanup. Ask a local restaurant, bakery, or donut shop if they get food items in 5-gallon buckets they'd be willing to donate for your cleanup! We have some but cannot guarantee we have one for each participant.
- On-street parking could be available on the streets around the hotel and there are public lots on 28th and 35th Streets.
- Valet parking at the hotel is $31 + tax unless you decide to stay for lunch at Essensia Restaurant and then it can be validated for $21 + tax.
