Join The International SeaKeepers Society for the world’s largest, one-day volunteer effort for our oceans and waterways, and show your commitment to reducing marine debris, along with millions of volunteers from across the globe! Spearheaded globally by the Ocean Conservancy, VolunteerCleanup.org organizes Miami-Dade’s local participation in this annual event with 50+ simultaneous shoreline cleanups around the county and is made possible by the generous support of our presenting sponsors Covanta and Boucher Brothers, with additional support from Blackstone Charitable Foundation, The Brady Hunter Foundation, Benjamin & Gloria Joannou, Jr. Family Conservation Fund, City of Miami Beach, The Miami Foundation, Loud and Live, and Miami-Dade County RER-DERM.

Site info: Parking is spread throughout Morningside Park, and there is a parking lot by Morningside Watersports near our setup. Check-in will be at the blue SeaKeepers branded tent on the lawn next to Morningside Watersports.

You are welcome to join us on foot or by paddle! SeaKeepers will NOT be providing kayaks. You may bring your own kayak or paddleboard, or kayak and paddleboard rentals are available from Morningside Watersports at a 30% discount when you mention you’re with SeaKeepers! You will be able to paddle across Biscayne Bay to the nearby Picnic Islands to clean up there as well. A SeaKeeper will show you where to go! If you plan to paddle, please claim a paddle RSVP ticket below!

Volunteer info: All volunteers must FILL OUT THE LIABILITY WAIVER HERE before the cleanup in order to participate. You will not be allowed to participate without this form signed. Please do this when you RSVP/sign up so we can save time for cleaning on the day of the event!

Supplies you can bring:
🦈 Reusable water bottle with water (no single-use plastic bottles!)
🦈 Reef-safe Sunscreen (make sure oxybenzone is NOT on the active ingredients list!)
🦈 Comfortable shoes

We will provide:
🦈 Garbage bags
🦈 Reusable gloves
🦈 Hand Sanitizer

🦈 Community Service Hours / Service Learning Hours

🦈 A souvenir tote bag with this year’s marine animal theme, a Seahorse!

Download the Ocean Conservancy’s CleanSwell app to participate in the Citizen Science activity to log, tally and measure the impact of your cleanup.  It is easier and more fun than using paper data cards! *You can earn extra community service hours by participating!*
