SeaCycle – A Marine Plastics Recycling Community Event
Calling all Ocean Lovers! Please join us at SeaCycle, a special fun-filled community event in Coconut Grove hosted by SeaSweepers, to spotlight the power of marine plastic recycling and sustainable innovation!
SeaCycle is an interactive event where YOU can make a real impact by helping transform previously “unrecyclable” marine plastics into sustainable consumer products. In collaboration with our local non-profit clean-up partners, we’ve already recovered over 4,000 pounds of marine debris from Miami, the Florida Keys, and The Bahamas—keeping plastic out of landfills and incinerators. We are setting up a display of 500+ pounds of marine plastics, including traps and nets, that attendees can compete to sort and clean in teams to win amazing prizes! With your support, this event will be the first step in giving these plastics a second life as useful goods, instead of sending them to the landfill, which is the sad reality for plastics recovered from the ocean. Join us for a fun filled day to learn how marine plastic recycling can be done!
Event Experiences:

Event Schedule:
1:00pm : EVENT KICKOFF
Arrival, registration, keynote, blockchain based ocean plastic tracking demos, speakers and welcome networking with yummy ocean friendly food & drinks.
1:45pm: CLEAN UP COMPETITION ROUND 1
Clean-up competition round 1 begins! Prizes awarded to teams
2:00pm: CLEAN UP COMPETITION ROUND 2
Clean-up competition round 2 begins! Prizes awarded to teams
2:15pm: Networking, raffle prizes, food + beverages!
