Join a group of your colleagues and customers for a fun and educational beach cleanup hosted by VolunteerCleanup.org. We’ll help protect our marine environment by removing plastic marine debris while collecting important citizen science data, and compete to win prizes for whoever finds the strangest thing!
VolunteerCleaunp.org will provide all of the supplies for the cleanup (gloves, bags, pickers, buckets, sunscreen, insect repellent, hand-sani)
Important Reminders for Volunteers:
- FOOD/DRINK: Please bring water in your own reusable water bottles. We will have coolers for cold water refills but do not provide (and strongly discourage) plastic disposable bottled water.
- ATTIRE: Dress for the weather and wear shoes suitable for walking on the beach. We suggest closed-toed shoes like sneakers or water shoes in case of broken glass or jellyfish on the sand. Hat and sunglasses are also recommended for a hot and sunny day.
- Download the Clean Swell App to participate in the Citizen Science Data Logging. You will work in teams of 2-3ppl if you came with other guests
- WAIVERS: Volunteers must check-in and sign waivers before you start. Pre-signing the online waiver will help expedite check-in! https://forms.gle/1Xx8yk2Ro59avBySA
- We’ll be meeting at the Manatee pavilion, which you can access from Parking lot #2 and then walking to your right until you reach this spot: https://maps.app.goo.gl/P5H8N6ZJZ6EM2vYh6
