SoMi Fresh Start Community Clean-Up & Business Recycling Event
Kick off the new year by giving South Miami a fresh, clean look! We’re thrilled to host our first-ever SoMi Fresh Start Community Clean-Up and Business Recycling Event in collaboration with VolunteerCleanup.org, a remarkable organization connecting volunteers with impactful clean-up initiatives. Since 2013, their platform has empowered over 30,000 volunteers to remove more than 600,000 pounds of trash and debris from Miami-Dade County’s beaches and shorelines.
Join us on Saturday, January 11th, 2025, and be part of this transformative effort to beautify our city and promote sustainability.
Community Clean-Up: Volunteers will gather at 9:00 AM at South Miami City Hall to help clean our neighborhoods and public spaces. The event concludes at 12:00 PM. All materials will be provided!
Business Recycling Drop-Off: Local businesses can drop off their recyclable goods between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM, helping us encourage responsible waste management and recycling.
