Join Bal Harbour’s International Coastal Cleanup Day Beach Cleanup In partnership with VolunteerCleanup.org Make a meaningful impact on our environment by joining Bal Harbour’s Beach Cleanup in celebration of International Coastal Cleanup Day. Be part of a global movement to protect marine life, reduce ocean debris, and preserve the natural beauty of our coastline. Miami-Dade’s participation, organized by VolunteerCleanup.org, will feature 65+ cleanups all over the county with 4,000 volunteers. This year is the launch of Trashathon, a new fundraising concept where the community can make a per-pound pledge to support the overall cleanup effort. If you are unable to help clean up as a volunteer, you can still support the cause by making a pledge or sharing with others. Make a per-pound-pledge here! This year’s t-shirt and rash guard are available for purchase. Order before August 30 if you want to guarantee your shirt arrives before the cleanup. Event Details Date: Saturday, September 20 Time: 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM Meeting Location: Beachside by the jetty at the north end of Bal Harbour Village (102 Street & Collins Avenue). Volunteers will work south along the beach. What’s Provided Gloves Garbage bags Water refill stations What to Bring Closed-toe shoes Reusable water bottle Sunscreen Insect repellent Hat and sunglasses Additional Information Registration is required on VolunteerCleanup.org to participate.
